Hello world.

Sunshine In My Home Daycare wishes you the very best 2012 year filled with sucess, good health, lots of love and peace.

So far we had a great start in New Year, weather is more than beautiful, and it makes winter seem so short. And before we know it, spring will be here. Daycare renovation are coming to an end, and we are all excited about it. I would like to thank all exsisting parents on their understanding and continues support during last couple of weeks. As always I will try my best to keep my standards very high for all the children enrolled in my daycare and I am asking parents to continue supporting daycare rules for safety and health standards. If any of you have any comments and suggestion please feel free to let me know by e-mail.

December Update

Hi Everyone!

As we are so close to the end of 2011, I am happy to say that this year has been great. We were very productive, busy, and always on the go.
I have to say that I am very excited about the coming holidays, and all the excitement can be felt in the air :)
Since I was a child, Christmas has always been one of my favorite holidays and every new season reminds me of good memories!
Children at the daycare are very excited about it too, and we are starting our plans for Christmas at the daycare.
Since Sunshine In My Home Daycare is under construction, our space is limited, but that won’t stop us from having fun.
Please check our calendar occasionally, for any activities or changes that might occur.
We will play Secret Santa this year again, and participation is completely voluntary.
Please let me know if your child will participate or not.
The Secret Santa draw will be on December 09, which is a Friday.
The Secret Santa gift exchange will be on December 23, at the same time as our Christmas Party.

I wish you all the best this holiday season from me and my family!!!

November Update.

Hello!
Wow, I am still impressed with the beautiful temperatures we are having! That is such a blessing!
November is here and the end of the year is fast approaching. That means before we know it Christmas will be here.
Sunshine In My Home Daycare is busy planning and organizing for the new winter activities and events.
If you have any ideas and you would like to share them please e-mail them to me.
I am always open for new ideas from new and existing parents.

October Update

Hello Fall!

What a beautiful start of an October we are having! We are very fortunate with this beautiful weather we are having, and we will continue to enjoy what Fall has to offer.

Halloween is near, and before you know it you will be taking your children to “Trick or Treat”. As every year, we will be having a Halloween Party and your children are more than welcome to bring their costumes (non violent please).

Please remember that colder weather is on its way and soon your children will need warmer clothes (mitts, sweaters, hats etc.) You can always keep those handy in their backpacks. Also parents, please make sure that prior to bringing your child to the daycare you make sure your child is healthy, with no fever or any other sick symptoms. Children are all sharing toys and germs are spread very easily. Don’t forget that when you drop off your child in the daycare it is much easier for them, if you leave right away and they get to start with the usual routine. Prolonged parent stay when the child is anxious or upset makes thing even worse.

September updates:

Hi everyone!

September is here, which means the lazy days of summer are over. No more sleeping in, going to bed late, and relaxing. The summer weather this year was great, which made us all so much happier! We had a great time running through the sprinkler, going to parks, taking long walks, and eating popsicles. While these activities are coming to an end we have next summer to look forward to!

As it is September, we are ready for the many new adventures that fall brings; school being one of them! Most of the children are excited to be back and some are not, but in the end everyone will have a great time seeing old friends and meeting new ones. As much as we’ll miss summer, fall will bring great adventures that may turn out to be more exciting than the ones we had this summer!

Please remember to check our calender for any changes, activities, birthdays, etc. on a regular basis! Have a great long weekend and enjoy the nice weather while it lasts! Off I go to buy school supplies :)

August Update.

Hi Everyone!

I hope your summer is going well!                                                                 Mine has been full of suprises, great times and excitement. Holidays are over now and I am ready to start again in full blast! The weather is excellent and there is no mosquitoes at all!!!! Sunshine In My Home Daycare would like to welcome a few new kids, and say good bye to the ones that are starting school. We are still focusing on spending as much time outside as possible, so all our activities will be centered around the outdoors.

I hope August stays beautiful as it is !

July News.

Wow, July is here and I hope everyone enjoyed long weekend and plenty of sunshine. I sure did, since sunshine has a great impact on our lives. Saying that, we should all be prepared and safe at all times during the summer months.That is why my daycare  would like to encourage parents of children currently enrolled  to follow few simple rules showed below.

Be Sun Smart: wear sunglassess; use sunscreen; wear a hat; cover up; seek shade           We will be playing with water now almost everyday, and your child/ren should have all the necessary clothing such us: extra T-shirt, bathing suit or swimmers, a towel, hat and a good spirit. 

I am very excited that school year came to an end, and now we can relax and enjoy  the heat!                                                                                                                                                                

 I wish you fun filled and safe summer months.

June Update.

☼ Hello Everyone! ☼

June is here, and we are excited that summer is just around the corner.  Summer brings hours of fun outside; playing with water, going for walks and visiting our neighbourhood parks.  Please don’t forget that we need hats and sunscreen everyday from now on. We will spent as much time as we can outside, and we will even have our lunches outside on most days.

I am very proud and excited to announce that Sunshine In My Home Daycare will be expanding soon. It will take a lot of planning and organizing but I will try my best to make this transition easy and smooth for all of as, so please be patient with me through this process so that we can all enjoy the end-product. My goal is to move my home daycare out of my home onto a new property; which will be made into a daycare center designed to create more spaces for struggling parents. I am very passionate about my job and I take a lot of pride in it, and I promise you I will continue to provide excellent care for your children.

Sunshine In My Home Daycare will be closed from August 01 to August 12 2011 for holidays. Normal daycare hours will resume on August 15 2011.
